    A global forum for 100 business leaders of travel and tourism companies worldwide, this organization works to raise awareness of travel and tourism issues and concerns. Industry data and reports available here for download.

  • U. S. Travel Association

    The leading national, non-profit organization representing the U. S. travel industry. The organization's mission is to promote and facilitate increased travel to and within the United States. Look at its Research section for data on both domestic and international travel and its economic impact.

  • Power of Travel

    Sponsored by the U.S. Travel Association, this website provides research, grass roots mobilization, and media resources that show the importance of travel and tourism to the economy and people of the United States.

  • World Tourism Organization

    A specialized agency of the United ‎Nations, WTO is the leading international organization in the field of tourism. It serves as a ‎global forum for tourism policy issues and a practical source of tourism know-how.‎

  • World Travel & Tourism Council

    A global forum for 100 business leaders of travel and tourism companies worldwide, this organization works to raise awareness of travel and tourism issues and concerns. Industry data and reports available here for download.

 

Specialized Industry Associations

In addition to the association links below, the tourism and hospitality industry has many more industry organizations that provide both free and members-only information on their web sites.  Find more such links in the industry guides prepared by the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration's library and a second, longer list from the Harrah Hotel College at the University of Nevada - Las Vegas.

  • American Gaming Association

    Represents the commercial casino entertainment industry, bringing facts about the industry to the public, elected officials, and the media. Has links to industry information, federal issues, and organization research publications.

  • American Hotel & Lodging Association

    This national association represents all sectors in the lodging industry, including companies, individual property owners, industry suppliers, and educational members.

  • National Restaurant Association

    Represents more than 380,000 organizations and companies and organizations — from restaurants and suppliers to educators and non-profits. Web site has a variety of data and information, some for members only.
